Aadhaar is a unique identification number which consists of 12 digits. This is issued by UIDAI to against successful submission of requisite documents. An important thing about aadhaar is that it is generated based upon the Demographic information (name, dob, address etc) and Biometric details of a person (fingerprints, IRIS scan & facial photograph).
