Step 1: Log in to the income tax portal by visiting

Step 2: When you file your return, you get a page with multiple options to verify your ITR. you can click on either e-verify now or e-verify later to complete your verification through DSC.
Step 3: Go to the e-file tab followed by income tax return and then click on e-verify returns.
Step 4: Once you click on the e-verify, you will see a page with multiple options to verify your income tax return.
Step 5: Click on verify using DSC on the page and then click on continue.
Step 6: You will have to verify your identity by downloading the emsigner utility on your system.
Step 7: If you have downloaded the emsigner utility or have it already, then you can simply click on the checkbox you see on the screen and click on continue.
Step 8: The last step is to select the provider and certificate on the Data Sign page. After entering the details, enter the Provider Password and finally click on Sign to complete the verification.
