Steps to follow while visiting a SBI branch:

  • After reaching the nearest branch, ask for ‘letter of request’ form
  • Fill the form and submit along with the copy of Aadhaar card
  • After verification, aadhaar will be linked to the bank account and the user will be notified via a text message on the registered mobile number

Linking via SBI website:

  • Log into website ‘www.sbi.co.in’.
  • Under the announcement section, look for ‘Aadhaar linking for all SBI customers’ and select that option.
  • Once selected, it will ask of SBI account number and captcha code
  • After filing in the details, one time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number
  • Scroll up/down to look for confirm/submit option
  • Post submitting, status of linking will be sent on the registered mobile number

Linking via SBI anywhere app:

  • Download the app if not done already
  • Log into the SBI anywhere app
  • Under the ‘requests’ section, click on ‘aadhaar’ and select ‘aadhaar linking’
  • Select CIF (your customer number) from the list and enter your aadhaar number
  • Agree to the terms and conditions and ‘submit’ the form
  • Text message will be sent on the registered mobile number if the linking is successful

Linking via SBI internet banking:

  • Go to SBI internet banking portal and log in with your account credentials
  • Go to ‘my accounts’ on the left side of the screen and choose ‘link your aadhaar number’
  • Put in your SBI account number along with 12 digit aadhaar number and then press submit
  • The status will be conveyed via SMS on registered mobile number

Linking via SBI ATM’s:

  • Visit the nearest SBI ATM booth and swipe your card
  • Post swiping, enter your PIN for authentication
  • From the menu section, select ‘Service registrations’ and under that select ‘aadhaar registrations’
  • Afterwards, select ‘account type’ and put in your aadhaar number twice for registration
  • Post verification, message will be send out at the registered mobile number
