• STEP 2: Once you are done with the SMS part you will receive an OTP.

• STEP 4: After you are done with sending this message the UIDAI will lock your Aadhar number. A confirmation message regarding the same will be sent soon on your registered mobile number.

• STEP 1: Similar to what you need to do for locking the Aadhar number here too you require to send an SMS to the same number that is “1947”.
• STEP 2: The format of the SMS will be GETOTP followed by the last four digits of your Aadhar number.
• STEP 3: Once this OTP is sent you need to send another SMS. The format will be UNLOCKUID followed by the last four digits of the Aadhar number.
• STEP 4: You also need to send the six-digit OTP sent to 1947.
• STEP 5: As soon as you are done with all these your Aadhar number will be unlocked by UIDAI.
• STEP 6: Soon you will receive a conformational message.

• STEP 2: Go to the URL bar and type www.uidai.gov.in
